The one someone did where he was carrying her to a dump truck had me laughing for quite a bit. Shit though, I can't help but think the dude is a dick. Why would you carry someone that way? Carry her on your back.

Some of the joke pics though were surprisingly well done.

The dump truck.

Do you really think a "maniacal fan" spent some $30,000 worth of CDs?. Maybe these "fans" are being paid out by senior executives in the AKB HQ, this is a shady business after all.

Speculations aside, those girls are like drops in my dry eyes, ah, I also like 2 or 3 of their songs.

If you are some single mid-30's dude working at a company pulling in almost $40,000-50,000 a year, living at home with your parents, not paying rent, and maybe only have a phone bill to pay each month. Its not too far outside the realm of possibilities to have someone spend a few thousand dollars on CDs for someone/something they are obsessed with.

You have to figure; given a large enough fan base for something. You'll have at least 1-2 people that are going to be huge fans and making $100,000s+ a year.

Well, you are right, the larger the fan base the more plausible that these weirdos really exist, nevertheless when you try adding up the improbabilities of more than one individual spending thousands of dollars, because I understand this is a recurrent behavior, it becomes less and less likely for there to be so many lost souls. Now, I don't know how many different cases are there so I won't speculate any further.

yeah that made me lol too because somebody wrote he's carrying her like luggage, he definitely doesn't like her lol.

I don't know if it's true or not but on the 2-ch they were saying what had happened.

This seems to be going around on the internet now:

Quote:A photo of a topless Tomomi Kasai being fondled from behind by a young boy could prove to be costly for Kodansha

The publisher embroiled in a scandal over an “inappropriate” photo of a member pop group AKB48 may face a host of problems, reports Yukan Fuji (Jan. 13).

Comic book weekly Shukan Young Magazine, which is published by Kodansha, announced on January 11 that the issue originally scheduled to hit newsstands the following day would be delayed. The problem was the suitability of including an image featuring a topless Tomomi Kasai being fondled from behind by a young boy.

The magazine offered readers an apology on its Web site. “The photo contains an inappropriate expression,” read a statement from the editorial staff.

The photo in question — which utilizes what is referred to as a te-bura (or hand bra) pose — comprises the cover shot for the 21-year-old’s debut photo collection called “Tomo no Koto, Suki?” (Do You Like Tomo?), which is scheduled to be released (also by Kodansha) on February 4. A promotion for the book was what was supposed to appear in Young Magazine.

Do you approve, disapprove, or are you nonchalant about this situation?

Is this a case of child abuse, and if so, what degree of what harm has been inflicted on the child? Or is this not child abuse? Does South Park's "niiiiiiiiiice" apply to this situation?

Is this a manufactured scandal/controversy? Meaning, did the organizers involved know full well the implications of this situation but went ahead with it anyway (and subsequently withdraw) and achieve media attention?

Did the young boy himself offer any comments about this issue and how he felt?

Did you add 手ブラ to your Anki vocab deck?

And last but not least, would you consider providing hand-bra services to Tomomi Kasai? Why or why not?

I think this will be quite the boon for that girl's career. She's not at all good looking, but, well, holy smokes.

Not sure why the kid needed to be involved though.

holy crap. never expected for this to happen. but at least she's not leaving akb..?

For the girl with the 手ブラ, you guys have some seriously high standards if you don't think she is hot. In fact, if that wasn't a joke, I'd like to see what girls you actually do think are hot O_O. For the girl with the shaved head, that was a bit overkill. She needs her hair to complete her look. It looks like she went Britney Spears on us.

She didn't do anything I'm sure. I'm sure she was "persuaded" to do it, otherwise the agency would completely drop her from the group. Honestly, she would have been better off having dropped I think, but fame blinds some people.

None of this would have been an issue if someone either in the government or in the media would step up and say this whole thing is f-ing ridiculous (Time-sharing the girl's hymen).

She said in the video she shaved her head on her own accord without consulting her manager etc etc. so youre saying she's lying there?? The guy she was caught with was 19, not some creepy old guy in the industry... I Don't get the hymen comment

P.s. that new maeda atsuko monomane is funny

Are you that naive? Of course she's lying! You really think she would say "From the encouragement of my manager and agent, I accepted their advice to shave my head." and still have a job, not that she has much of one now anyway.

The hymen comment is something that was stated by some of the creepier ardent fans of the group, that see the girls' hymen as being on time-share to them.

i don't like 手ブラ girl (kasai tomomi), maybe because i know her personality and it doesn't mesh with mine. though it calls to mind how on their コント tv show she did a joke with 手ぶら and テブラ。 heh.

as for minegishi the whole situation strikes me as silly
-the fact that it's considered a scandal is silly. (to me, as some with american cultural values)
-the fact that her punishment is being demoted to kenkyuusei, the equivalent of being a bench player, is silly. (it ignores her talent and popularity. i doubt she'll continue being that far low on the totem pole. there is a conspiracy theory that they retained her because they don't want to risk her being signed by another group.)
-that fact that she continued her punishment by shaving her is also silly. (as symbolic as it is, i can't help but think it's also a publicity stunt that will help her maintain a positive public image.)

this whole thing is silly

i'm sticking with my funny girls in nmb48 now.

@vix: she was handed down official punishment by being demoted to kenkyuusei, therefore, shaving her head was probably entirely of her own volition.

If she's as skilled as you claim, then I would say that was the official response but I still suspect the shaving was very much encouraged by the agency, if it was simply the agency say "We demoted you as punishment for breaking the rules, but the fans will want something more, so you better figure out a way to apologize to the fans..." potentially followed by a number of suggestions.

It reeks of taring&feathering/public humiliation for no other reason than 'having a life' (since their fans are too much social rejects to have one of their own). Even if you make statements about "they knew what they were getting into..." it still doesn't make the thing right.
