I've created an account, but I can't get my クレジットカード to authenticate. Which is really a stupid problem to have anyway. The thing is an Android app, it should do billing via the user's linked Google account...
Anyway, has anyone else heard of and or figured out how to use this service?
Can anyone sugest an alternative 電子本屋 usable from the US/internationally? Especially one with an Android app?
I've been watching http://www.jmanga.com for a while. They have been getting more material with Japanese as a language option, but they don't have much that interests me. Also they have no native apps and of course don't offer 雑誌、本、ライトノベル等。
I don't have the space or money to import every book/manga that seems interesting, and I've become somewhat addicted to the convenience of reading on my Android tablet. I would really like a more reliable/legal way to aquire reading material though...

I don't know why publishers are still going out of their way to make legal acquisition of their products so difficult. Especially when illegal outlets have demonstrated how trivially easy digital distribution can be. Instead I have to beg and plead and bend over backward just trying to give away my money and I still can't get what I want. And if I do I'm locked into DRM or a specific app, or at least have had to sign away all rights of ownership.
