What do you involve when you sit down for some hard core, uninterrupted study?
Myself:
I get a nice pair of headphones (they have to be warm because I'm to cheep to turn on my heating!), turn on brainwave generator at about 1/4 volume (deep meditation preset that comes with the free version), play some sort of chamber music at full volume (usually Berlioz or Chopin, but it depends on the time of day; in the morning I'll go with something less "angsty" like Bach or Copland), and sometimes I'll have a couple beers or glasses of wine. Whenever I have all of these things I seem to be capable of maintaining unbroken concentration for hours on end.
Oh, and I used to throw half a pack of cigarettes into the mix. I've since quite, but, man, those were the days...
What about you?
