backing up anki deck

#1
recently I've gone through my old notebooks/textbooks from korea and hand typed about 1500 cards for vocabulary that just didn't stick at the time. I would be devastated if I lost all that hard work and would like to back it up.
I made a copy of: C:\Users\Isaac\Documents\Anki\korean.anki
and put it in: C:\Users\Isaac\Documents\Ankibackup\
anki backup is just a folder I made. If my korean deck was somehow deleted could I just open the backup deck and have all my information "as it is at the current backup time" ready to use?

let me know if anyone would like a copy, it's mostly somewhat advanced words but I would be happy to share if anyone's interested ^^

Yes, the .anki files include the scheduling information. I think you can also create an online version on the anki site which you can synch to whenever you want.

Anki creates backups of the decks you use. In windows, it's something like /user/appdata/roaming/.anki. Appdata might be hidden - you can also access backups by going to the plugins location from the menu. You can set the timing and number of backups in preferences.

I assume this backup doesn't include media. The syncing Splatted mentioned would backup both. I would backup to somewhere other than the same computer drive.
