Learning Italian / Anki

#1
As I make clear in the subject, totally off topic! Still I remember this forum being really helpful when I was learning Japanese, so I thought I'd ask.

I'm using Anki to drill Italian vocab, but I'm wondering about the usefulness of both "forward" and "reverse" cards. The "English -> Italian" cards are very useful, but I'm finding I whizz through the "Italian -> English" cards without even really needing to think.

Does anyone who has learnt a European language using Anki have any advice as to whether it's worth keeping up both sets of cards, or dropping the "European language -> English" set?

Thanks.

I tried to find the link but was unsuccessful. Anyways, I remember the antimoon guys saying (as well as Khatz) that you really only need to be going from your target language to your native language. However, I dont think you're doing any harm going both ways.
