Hey there!
Been googling on this for a few days, but can only find vague references and no opinions/impressions on the matter, so I hope you can forgive me for buggin' ya =)
I recently acquired an Android phone, and the first thing that went in it was AnkiDroid, of course. I soon found out about the whiteboard feature. For those who don't know what this is, it's basically a drawing layer on top of the anki screen that allows you to "write with your finger", so to speak. I've tried using this for reviews, writing the kanji on screen before revealing the answer and comparing. Not bad, I guess.
My worries are that the muscle memories won't really sink in the same way they do while writing with an actual pen on actual paper. The scribbles on the whiteboard evidently look horrible, and I would never be able to grade myself based on proportions of the resulting kanji.
Has anyone done reviews with touchscreen drawing? What are your thoughts? I've only done this for a few days so far, and I'm not sure I'm fine with the outcome.
