A friend on Lang-8 recently posted about the "corruption of the Japanese language", giving all the following terms as examples of new slang terms he has heard his students using. Rikaichan didn't help me with anyone, so I'm turning to you fine fellows. Has anyone come across these words/phrases before? What are some other new slang terms you've heard?

I don't know what level your at, but doing a google search for "◯◯　とは" or ”◯◯　意味" often brings up good results.

As for some of the ones you've run across, here's what I've found. Just a quick search, so don't stone me if I got it wrong.

あげぽよ - A shortened/cute version of アゲアゲ, which describes high-tension situations. Like exciting. ぽよ is just because it's cute.
さげぽよ - The same thing, with サゲサゲ, so it's the opposite meaning.
メーク感 - The goal of wearing makeup is to make you look good without making it look like you have makeup on. If you have メイク感, then you can tell that you're wearing makeup. So you shouldn't want it.
とりま - In conversations, you hear とりあえず、まあ. This is a shortened version.
アピりたい - アピールしたい
おじカワ - A kind of style/fashion of clothes that look like おじさん would wear, and is cute. おじさん／かわいい.

idk about 盛れる, but I've got to get ready for work so :/

おじカワ is my new favorite word. XD I have a vision in my head of サラリーマン types dressing goth with little tiny hats covering the combovers on their heads.

Yeah, I figured as much, but I like my fantasy world vision better. It would make the train rides more interesting... creepier in some ways, but far more interesting.
