What are some easy to read manga?

#1
I recently got Japanese graded reader level 1 ( http://www.thejapanshop.com/Japanese-Gra...2359252011 ) and they were a great read. Any manga or books on a similar level or maybe more challenging?

As far as manga that's not explicitly made for learners of Japanese, I think it's one of the easiest manga to comprehend, and also good for learning everyday vocabulary. In most of the situations in the books it's easy to understand what is being talked about, though sometimes it's a bit harder because the characters are planning things to do, or because they make jokes based on linguistic quirks. Anyway, it doesn't have any ridiculously complicated plots, any science fiction vocabulary, extreme 'fiction-only' speech styles or anything else that you are prone to find in many manga. It can also be funny even when you don't understand everything that's said, orat least I thought so when I read it a couple years ago.

edit: Here's a thread with lots of different recommendations http://forum.koohii.com/showthread.php?tid=3529&page=1
It's not just manga at the level you want right now, but it might give you some ideas. If you feel like it's not helpful, please ignore it and continue learning in your own way, you can always come back to the thread later when you feel ready to tackle more advanced manga. (I just want to avoid accidentally making you feel stressed about where you are right now...)

I read Yotsuba from 'omg this is hard' to 'hm, this is nice'. It's a good starter series. Some of the chapters are a little boring, but they aren't too hard to to get through.

By the time I was comfortable with Yotsuba, I was able to start on harder ones like One Piece and Doraemon. (I was studying at the same time, though, not just reading.)

Regarding vocabulary, pokemon is pretty straight-forward.

there is a shonen sunday manga called "magi" that i recommend. for me it's the first thing i have ever been able to read and i just finished ko2001. and its pretty well done\interesting. it might be a little advanced compared to the grade 1 reader, im not sure. i did buy a childrens book before but still cant read it because the vocab is like full of some kind baby talk vocab or something, where as i can read this manga even though its for a slightly older audience.

by read i mean, i only know probably 50% of the vocab used but i am able to read and understand it pretty well (like 80% of whats going on) without really having to use the dictionary that much.
