Other Japanese Actors/ comedians with deep voices?

#1
皆さん初めまして。
So basically as the title says, I was wondering if anyone knew of any "deep - voiced" comedians/ actors with a lot of material available (online vids/DVDs/etc). See today I recorded myself speaking earlier (for the first time in my 4 months of learning... ) and man... I now realize how ridiculous I sound xD.

I've got this deep and somewhat creepy sounding, comedic voice, but the pronunciation is of most syllables is... kind of correct. My accent could definitely use some work though, it hurts to listen. Thus, trying to find a sort of "parent" to mimic/ reference. So far I've found one comedian, but can't seem to find much content. This is pretty much what I'm going for though:

"バキューム"藤原 ("Vacuum" Fujiwara)

There are many books out there for improving your voice and sound more authoriative.

Here's a couple of books:

The Complete Voice and Speech Workout: 74 Exercises for Classroom and Studio Use

Set Your Voice Free: How To Get The Singing Or Speaking Voice You Want by Roger Love and Donna Frazier

Japanese doesn't really contain any sounds that are not in English.
Just watch a lot of Japanese TV and you'll be fine.

Not sure what you mean by a "comedic voice", but there's this voice actor called Norio Wakamoto (若本規夫) who is quite well-known for having a deep voice and for shamelessly hamming everything up.

He is basically a living meme in the anime fandom, so there are lots of clips of his voice out there.

明石家さんま
Akashiya Sanma

阿部寛
Abe Hiroshi

Someone once posted a load of mp3s of his voice on the forum somewhere.

I don't think you get decent pronunciation by just watching TV...

Whoever the guy is that does the dubs for James bond movies has a ridiculously deep voice as far as I can remember.

福山雅治 has a pretty deep voice, at least when he's playing ガリレオ (I haven't seen him in anything else). You can find the whole series here. It's one of the few dramas that I can actually sit through, and there's a film adaptation called 容疑者Xの献身, which I also thought was unusually good for Japanese cinema.

Are you just naturally trying to shadow along to these people, or are you actually putting on a deep voice? I've heard a couple of foreigners on TV who do a fake manly Japanese voice, but it seems like Japanese people can't tell that they're frauds.

Thanks for all the replies. I'm especially liking the Abe Hiroshoi and the link to the drama series! I found the thread with all of the clips of Abe's voice.

^ @Javizy, Yup, I'm actually trying to shadow how they speak, not fabricate a deep voice lol
