Hi everyone.
I'm getting kind of interested in Korean, and am considering learning it at some point, though I still want to focus on Japanese for now. I've started checking out some of the Korean resources threads on this site, and they're really helpful, but I have two quick questions.
I've heard knowing Japanese can help a little with Korean grammar. I've heard of native English speakers who prefer to learn Korean through Japanese because of this. Do you think that's really helpful? If so, what level of Japanese should I try to get to before I start Korean?
In my Japanese study, the grammar dictionary series (three books, starting with A Basic Dictionary of Japanese Grammar) has been my favorite resource. Has anyone heard of anything like that for Korean? I really like how detailed those explanations are, and the fact that they compare similar grammar points. Any ideas?
Thanks for your help!
