I really want to get final fantasy III in Japanese, but I'm here in America and don't have a japanese credit card. I was wondering, if I bought it in english, would there be a prompt for changing the language before / during gameplay? I really want this game, but I refuse to play it in English! (After all, why do that when you can play and learn japanese at the same time, right?) xD

But apparently Final Fantasy Tactics from the American store is strictly English only, so be careful!

Final Fantasy 3 for ipod is the best game on Ipod Touch/Iphone. It switches from english to Japanese and is a one-finger controllable game. So you can play FF3 while you are driving

They improved the graphics on Ipod so it is higher resolution then the previous NDS Version. It is really fun and good for practicing nihongo ^_-

Best of luck. 10/10 on this game and it is my favorite for ipod. I bought all the other ff games from itunes, but their controls are horrible and hurt my fingers (requiring holding with 2 hands etc...). Good luck

All of square enix's apps are in Japanese if you switch the language outside of the app. Secret of Mana is confirmed as both also. I'm sure chrono trigger will be also when it comes out soon.

I was also wondering about these games. Thanks to this thread I now know more information. I've been really into the Cave games for my iPhone, such as deathsmiles, Bug Panic, Espgaluda. These can be in Japanese if your phone's settings are Japanese, but there isn't really much dialogue aside from the beginning.
