I'm currently enrolled in Linguistics 101, and I have a test on the International Phonetic Alphabet next Thursday at the earliest. I haven't been able to find any decent websites on the IPA. Does anyone know any good sites that teaches and has transcribing exercises on the IPA? I wouldn't be adverse to buying some books on the IPA if you know of any.
Thanks in advance

Back when I studied Linguistics, I really liked A Practical Introduction to Phonetics by J. C. Catford. It contains very detailed descriptions to actually produce the sounds, and goes a bit beyond the IPA (which is only a tool after all).

Thanks for the responses. I'll start studying them soon.
@bcrAn
We're just covering the common English sounds. The test will mostly consist of one to three syllables words. Thanks for the link.

What I'm mostly looking for are transcribing exercises like going from the word "Linguistics" to phonetic alphabet. I know it gets pretty easy after you use them for a while, but I'm new at this and I have an oral test, so I want to make sure that I'm doing it right.
