I don't think anyone on this website has said anything remotely like that about him.
Sorry, didn't mean to sound patronizing or anything.

It's just, the only comments I've seen from RTK users about Khatz are the ones who puts up in his ads and those are just... ugh

Khatz is probably laughing at you, i.e., the people that are always coming up with more philosophical / moral (= crap) arguments why he is overrated / wrong / unfair, while reading the ongoing threads on his name on this site and laughing his arse off next to all the money he is making selling his ideas.

Maybe, but at the same time I think it's good that he's reading it. Like obviously the guy's fluent, but if you have some valid complaints I'd assume he'd be reasonable enough to think "you know maybe this guy is right". Obviously he'll put up some of the more extreme ones in his banners which I think is kind of lame of him, but at the same time it also means he's reading all this which is good... ish

The opening poster gave his honest opinion, as an actual user of the product. so did I. If khatz decides to ignore those then he's ultimately just hurting himself. Sure he's making money, but he could be making more Tongue

he changed (downgraded) his definition of ss 'fluency' several times, around the same time that the problematic thread was deriving much hilarity from it... that would be pretty circumstantial if not a direct result.

Are you sure? The definition of fluency on the SS page looks the same as when it first appeared; what's changed exactly?

EDIT: I guess those parts from "japaneselevelup" are actually new, but surely by adding more quantifiable measurements, he's actually made the definition less vague, which is an upgrade. What did it say before for it to be a "downgrade"?

EDIT EDIT: This isn't a thread for SS discussion, but still feel I should point out when people are deliberately exaggerating or even lying to prove a point.

Totally agree. If Khatz finds a way to improve AJATT+ to the point of winning me back, then he will deserve whatever money he would be making from me. That being said, the further I advance in my Japanese studies, the more I see him, his site, and his products as just 邪魔 because I'd rather invest my money in something actually Japanese, like those Star Wars DVDs. Damn those are 高い (don't even get me started on shipping)

As a side note he did give me a refund for the month even though I didn't really demand it or anything, which was cool of him. I'd give him a second chance to sell me something, even if I'm jaded and skeptical and けち and all of that ~_~

oh yeah he's pretty great about that, he's given me a refund for one of his products before too (though I did ask for it) - Took one day

I think it's kinda natural that ajatt is better for the beginner phases, cause that's when you need the motivation, the material and the guidance, cause you're just kind of stumbling around like a baby not really knowing what you're doing. As you start to learn the language you start to be able to figure things like how to get sentences or whatever on your own.

He's a software programmer by trade, right? He should make an SRS-able version of Rosetta Stone that doesn't suck.
