So I recently decided to try shadowing with Read Real Japanese Fiction, and really started to like the method, but then realized it might be a bad thing to shadow female spoken audio because I'm a male. I just ordered this book: http://www.whiterabbitpress.com/product....ctid=16500 which has male and female parts, should I just shadow the male parts? It doesn't sound like a huge deal when just repeating for simple pronunciation practice, but isn't shadowing attempting 100% accuracy in repeating it like the speaker? Things can sound very different between the genders. So for people who are into shadowing, what are your thoughts on this?

Kaya did that and look what happened to him!

Serious now, hearing the samples in the link you provided, although the language is kind of neutral, to me the woman sounds perceptibly female — if you don't want to take the risk, don't do her (aaaahhh!). But, in the end, it depends more on what you focus on, what else you hear and whom you take as your mental model for how you should sound; otherwhise, all boys would end up speaking like their moms, aunts and female teachers, but that's not what happens (too often.)
Anyways, it's fun to shadow females; I do that all the time.

I don't think it really matter i shadow both parts if it does bother you just say the female parts like a man.

You can shadow female parts just fine. Just don't match your pitch to the female's voice. You should match your relative pitch--that is, go up and down in pitch when she does. But you should do it all in a deeper voice than hers.
Basically, just do it in your natural voice.
You shouldn't really shadow feminine speech so much, but of course most of Real Read Japanese Fiction is not in feminine speech. (Maybe that one with all the sex by Yoshimoto Banana is. I haven't looked at it in a while so I can't assess it really.). Rather, most of it is neutral (or even masculine) speech, read by a female.
