I just bought this book, but strangely, there seem to be no answers to the excercises there, even though the introduction recommends to take the ためしてみよう test at the end of the book to determine whether I should start it. Am I missing something?

Sounds like you also need the teacher's manual.

I reckon this book isn't intended for self study.
