As I am getting tired of manually creating flashcards for Japanese vocabulary (the process is so long and tedious it makes even reading manga boring), I am working on a dictionary app that can automate that for me. Another goal is to be able to look up new words as quickly as possible.

Right now, Jdic.net is an offline search as you type Japanese dictionary for Windows that uses EDICT (http://www.csse.monash.edu.au/~jwb/edict.html) as its source.
The program is stable and has been much faster than my old ways of looking up words (bar Rikaichan, but that only works for web pages).

There is no automated romaji conversion, input Japanese in kanji or hiragana when searching.

Any feedback/suggestion will be greatly appreciated.

i just copy and paste sentences from the Kenkyusha New Japanese-English Dictionary aka "Green Goddess". it's super easy to make cards from. I am moving at 100 sentences a day with ease.

I mainly just use an EPWING reader to search lots of dictionaries at once, and then add one of the kokugo dictionaries' definitions (and a JP-EN one if I need it) to the meaning field, and a sentence from Japanese media/books in Anki.
