RTK, Kanji, and readings

#1
Hello everyone!

So I've been doing remembering the kanji now for a couple days and reading about the AJATT method. What I don't understand is.. after I learn the kanji in the RTK book when do I learn the readings? I know there's lots of readings for each kanji sometimes.. so when am I supposed to learn them? Should I put them as part of the definition in my anki deck?
Thanks in advance!

I'm curious, what exactly does ajatt.com recommend? Can you ask him/anyone there?

There are a few threads here with a variety of recommendations. Perhaps try searching stuff like: after RTK, RTK2, readings, Core 2000 / Core 6000, 2001 Kanji Odyssey (2001KO), nukemarine's thread for beginners, other kanji textbooks, kanji chaining, movie method, beginner resources, etc. If you can't find anything, we can probably link you to some threads.
edit: added Core (thx Kumo)

ajatt advocates first completing Rtk then moving on to sentence mining and learning readings from sentences simply through repetition of the srs

And immersion. Nothing but SRS is absolutely not Khatz' idea.

Actually nothing is khatz and he even says it. Most of his ideas are taken from antimoon, he applied the same concepts and used those.

Sorry, I didn't mean to seem like I was saying that.

No offense taken, it's hard to tell if one is being mean on the internet. But rest assured, I'm not one of those people.

Well it would follow that you should learn them when you finish RtK. I learned them via the Core 6k on Anki, after so many thousands of words you tend to pick up on certain reading patterns.
