2kyuu Grammar flash cards?

#1
Does anyone have some JLPT 2kyuu grammar flash cards they could share? If not, I will make some, but I just wanted to see if anyone has made some already. I use Anki atm but I am flexible. Thanks!

I've got an Excel file with all but 6 grammar points from the UNICOM 文法編 2級 book. I'll make it available for download later today.

FYI - all my sentences come from the UNICOM book bar a few that are from 完全マスター。 They are all gap fill (cloze) sentences where the bit missing is the "grammar nugget".

You can download the file I'm using from http://www.nishigo.co.uk/files/JLPT2.xls

Yeah, my site is a mess! But that Twinkle file would just be the same data in the Excel spreadsheet but in Twinkle format. I can post it if you're still interested.

Yeah if you could post it that would be great! Thanks.

I was bored this morning and needed an excuse not to study so I made this out of your file Synewave.

The Anki version of Synewave's spreadsheet.

Will do it when I get home.

Cool. If you can get some use out of it that's great!

Two points I would make, having the UNICOM 実力アップ 文法編2級 book might help get more use out of the file. The book has audio CDs of all the example sentences in the book. I only put one sentence in per grammar point but the book usually has 4 per point.

Secondly, if you come across any typos, mistakes, etc. can you let me know?

Cheers,

Ya, I have the book and have been entering all the sample sentences into Mnemosyne (now Anki) for some time. I have also been editing the audio so the sentence reading is played back in my answer. It is slow coming (I'm pretty lazy) but when its finally finished I may try to upload it somewhere. No idea when that will happen though.

dilandau23 I had thought about doing something similar but just couldn't face putting that amount of effort into chopping up mp3s! I do think it's a good idea though.

Speaking of chopping up sound files. What's the recommended software for doing so?

I use MP3 Trimmer (Mac only, I think).

Audacity is a very nice (and free) audio editing program for Windows, Mac, and Eunuchs.

I chopped up the sound files for that book a few years ago. Anyone who has the book is welcome to them.

Problem is, there's nearly a thousand files, and the total size is about 80MB, so it's not emailable.

Finished off copying sentences into the spreadsheet (one for each point).

Brilliant, thanks for sharing that.

It looks like we've all done work that would be useful to share with each other. It would be good if we could devise some kind of system for sharing documents, spreadsheets, sounds files etc. in an organised manner.

For grammar point #5 ~一方だ
My book gives the meanings of どんどん~なる and ますます~なる not だんだん~なる, but I thought it was だんだん too since that makes more sense. Is that just a typo then? Or does this grammar point have a nuance of rapidity?

JGram.org has a JLPT quiz page. Just chose the level and you'll
get random questions.

It's my typo! Right or wrong, I associate ますます with だんだん so must have been thinking about that as I "copied" from the book. Well spotted.

Looks like 一方だ does have a "rapid" connotation about it!

Few errors in your spreadsheet Synewave:

1) In your card for 次第で I think its supposed to read "そのときの体調___、行くかもしれないし、行かないもしれません。" not "そのときの体調___、行くかもしれないし、行かないもしれません。" That is assuming yet another grammar point didn't slip through the cracks in my brain (entirely possible).

2) In your card "内容がすぎるし、長すぎるので、この小説は売れる___。" should be "内容がすぎるし、長すぎるので、この小説は売れる___。", I think. Big deal I know, but I had to look up the word anyway so I thought I would share.

3) Not a big one but the proverb is supposed to be "安物買いの銭失い" not "安物買いの銭失う" for your というものでもない grammar point.

That is all that I found so far, sorry it took so long to post this but I don't think any of those are game-breaking anyway.

Thanks for letting me. Better sort that out.

The change you suggest for 2 may well be correct however the book I have uses the kanji 硬

Perhaps we have different editions?
