in the question field, what is better? to have the sentences with kanji and i try to remember the sound of it, or all kana and i reproduce the kanji in the answer field?

Well the first way tests reading kanji amd the second way tests knowing what kanji to use. They test different things just decide which one you want to do?

I guess it is better at the beginning to know the reading. I'll just go with having the kanji in the question field. thankxs pudding cat

I find going from Kanji to Hiragana is easier than Katakana(Hiragana) to Kanji. One reason are there are many Japanese words with identical pronunciation(reading) but one or more Kanji's that are different.
If you goal is only reading, and speaking Kanji to Hiragana only is best. However, if you want to eventually do some writing you will need to do both.
