#1
I Just posted in another post with the amount I'm behind and it seemed like others were doing the same.

So here it is a thread to post about how lazy you have been in the past X amount of days and your reasons for being lazy.

Tell everyone how lazy you have been to keep yourself accountable to finish those reviews.
Post a recovery plan.
Seek advice.
Give advice.
Pat yourself on the back when your done.
Continue learning.

I'll start x-post from other post:

I'm 600 behind in Kanji and 1300 behind overall. A combination of enjoying my last days in Japan last week and enjoying the break from japanese here in America. Not completely Japanese free but enough where it is finally time to switch my brain to Japanese mode again. Let's see how long this takes to recover from. Wish me luck guys.

Game Plan:
100 Kanji reps
50 Core6000 reps
50 Mined Reps
Rinse and repeat as needed.

Should take about 7-10 repeats depending on how much I fail over the course of 2-4 days. Not counting the amount of reviews that accumulate over the days I haven't yet finished my reviews. I'm lazy and doing math will just delay my reviews. I'm Off!!!

I slacked off on RTK reviews and they piled up so I just ignored them and did other things until they reached around 1100. I then got a 'How to write essays' book and realised my writing is poor so I decided I should probably do the reviews.

Recovery plan: I spent about 5 minutes pressing F and Y repeatedly - This plan may give you cramp in your wrist but just push through it Smile

Tomorrow I shall start afresh and keep up with daily reviews!

It's this book.

This is a bit from the introduction explaining the structure of the book. On the right is the theme of each chapter. There's also an answer section at the back.

It's quite a thin book (about 80 pages) and I only do a couple of pages per day. I like it though because it's main focus is on sentence phrasing and structure. When you're asked to write about a topic it gives you all the information you need so the task is just to put it into essay form.

If you like structured textbooks this is very good! I'll probably go through it again once I've finished it.

I know, but it's too much. Like 300 cards is an hour. For me Anki says 8.9 hrs to go w/ 2500 reviews to go.

a) Settings: Review in order by interval; Review failed cards soon; Max failed cards 20; timeboxing 10 minutes or 20 questions.
1) Pick a playlist of 60 minutes in your music player and hit play. Doesn't have to be Japanese.
2) Start doing reviews.
3) When the set is over take a 10 sec break
4) Stop when the playlist repeats.

Assuming that you do 1 card per 10 secs, and you get each card wrong and then right the next time (a fairly safe assumption for very old cards), you can do 180 cards in an hour.

Keep repeating it for a week and you'll have the backlog down to zero.
