So I recently got Living Japanese and really enjoy it for exposing me to real spoken Japanese. On the other hand, I feel that the process of learning from it could be made more efficient if I were to make subtitles and use those to subs2srs the segments.

I don't mind doing the timing to make the subs if I just had the transcripts. Would anyone be willing to lend a helping hand for this?

(Note that I don't think this is violating copyright since I'd only be releasing the subs and not the video, which you'd have to buy the book and DVD to get. Correct me if I'm wrong)

Well by releasing the subs you'd essentially be releasing the script in the book so I think that would be a violation of copyright. Maybe get people to prove they own the book first and then give them the subs?

That works. Or I could just share the subs with people who helped with the transcript, since that would mean they have the book.
