Hi everyone! I'm hoping some of you can help me out. I'm looking for video blogs on YouTube or other sites that primarily feature female Japanese speakers. I've found plenty with male hosts which are great for listening comprehension, but I don't want to end up emulating male speech too much! I know there are some female podcasters, but I tend to tune out less to videos...

I don't know where to find them but there are tons of wannabe akb48 idol girls doing this kinda stuff. Saw a TV program about it in Narita airport.

Type random words in google.co.jp, click the Video tab, you're bound to find something.

this akb girl films videos teaching english but her voice annoys me and then when she speaks in english it makes me feel like a pedophile. crazy culture differences.

then why don't you just watch the akb shows like akbingo or weekly akb... it's moreinteresting than that stuff plus there's japanese text everywhere.
i personally like the show but dependning on the episode i skip the episode like if they do an episode where they just play games I don't watch it (that burger thing or the flour thing) that stuff is boring to me. but if it involves something that seems interesting i end up watching it but if it eends up being boring i stop. so it depends on the episode so i would find an episode that seems interesting.

Ha it's not as easy as I thought. I tried searching for [kana]FUROGU[/kana].
careerprogress1 (only 7 videos)
onnamigaki.net
週刊!?女子大生バトン (Campus Girls Love Baton) is a podcast series on iTunes which has girls interviewing each other about life, activites, men, clothes... those are really nice the podcasts no longer seem to be available but I found it on YouTube:

Ah, I like Campus Girls!
Yeah, definitely not so easy. I put a few hours into searching around before posting but didn't come up with much that was high-quality and interesting. And, you know, about girl stuff other than being in music videos. If I could find a video diary or fashion, pop-culture, or art/design blog not centered around J-pop, that's ideal! I can't watch live Japanese TV shows for too long before the hyper-GENKI announcers start to grate on my nerves.
Video-blogging doesn't seem to have caught on with Japan as much yet. At least not on YouTube. I'll try looking on ニコニコ動画 too!

Well you still have internet radio, especially handy if you have a tablet with a radio app.

I tried a search for ヴィデオ日記 on Youtube and while Cotorich dominates the results I noticed someone named Kanzaki Hana. She did 43 videos though it seems she stopped uploading last year. She speaks English in some videos and Japanese in others. She's on a Youtube channel called "tsunagarutelevision".
But it may be easier to go here and increment the URL directly:

video is ビデオ, not ヴィデオ...
i think the correct search term is ブイログ according to ブログ in wikipedia.jp. or "vlog". i dunno. i also tried ビデオブログ、動画ブログ、 etc.
