3 minute survey about RtK and your memory

#1
Hi everyone,

I'm doing a very short survey about RtK and memory, because I am interested to know how people assess their own memory and ability with Japanese etc.

Basically, I consider myself to have a poor ability to remember things, but was hoping to see whether other people would place themselves in the same category.

After I get some results, I'll post any interesting statistics.

No identity information is collected, so please answer the questions honestly.

Thanks,
codebeard.

Edit: The survey is now finished. Thank you to everyone who participated. Perhaps I'll do another survey at some point.

Here's a link to some graphs of the results: http://goo.gl/0Ofup

I'll post some comments in the thread below.

Hi all,

Thanks for those who took the survey. I got about 50 responses.

Here are some pretty graphs:

Some interesting things to highlight:

- Mean percentage of mature cards correct was 86%.
- Mean number of mature cards was 1705
- 55% of responders have been using RtK for 1 year or less
- Only 6% of responders answered "just once" to the question about how many times they need to hear somebody's name before it sticks. 20% of people answered "more than three times".
- 30% of responders consider themselves to have a very poor or poor memory in general.
- 50% of responders would say others describe them as perfectionists in most things they do or almost everything they do.

Feel free to post comments.
