Take a look at this: http://mattsnihongo.blogspot.com/2009/01...oxing.html
The basic idea is that you set a timer and only review flashcards until the time is up. You can do as many timeboxes per day as you want/need to finish your card reviews. It helps your efficiency because you know it's only for a short amount of time, so you are more likely to do your reviews. If you break up your reviews into chunks during the day you don't get burned out as easily.

I could link you to this and write something complicated about timeboxing: http://forum.koohii.com/showthread.php?tid=2421
But I'll just say it's when you tell Anki you want to review by X minutes.

If you're looking into timeboxing you'll probably bump into the so called '10+2*5 'hack'', it basically means you'll work on a task or project you want to complete for 10 minutes, then take 2 minutes off to get a drink or surf the web or w/e, then work another 10 minutes and so on (thus 5 sets an hour hence 10+2*5).
Though you only work 50 minutes per hour, the idea is that it makes you stay focused and thus more productive for those 50 minutes, rendering you able to do more than in a normal hour.
