I don't think anyone else has picked up on this here, or at least a search doesn't bring anything up. I'm surprised: this is an excellent collection of audio covering all kinds of material. Some are as short as a single phrase; others much longer performances. You'll also find over 1,300 songs if that's your bag.
Sometimes (as with the songs) one person puts up a recording for others to vote on, but for the most part the idea is someone writes down something they'd like recorded. If people are interested, you eventually end up with a bunch of clips of varying audio and voice quality. You'll usually find at least a couple that are well recorded and delivered. Everyone then votes on the efforts and leaves comments.
It's really interesting to hear how different people approach the same material. It's also useful for comparing male and female forms of speech. I've already downloaded some to drop into Anki or to listen to on my mp3 player.
You might find the layout to be somewhat cluttered, but it's actually pretty simple and shouldn't take you long to figure out what's going on. If you can't see the text for an audio clip, just click on the picture to the left of the player to take you to the clip's page. You'll sometimes find the solo efforts have no transcript, though.
Go have a look at http://koebu.com/koe but be careful - it can be pretty addictive to click on clip after clip after clip...
