I mean, anki is an SRS program designed to test you on facts you have already learnt am i not right?
So let's say I want to do core2k, where should I start studying from? I'll fail every card as I've not yet studied anything and I dont know in what orders the cards will come.

Suspend everything and just activate the cards as you learn the language.

The first time you review you will be actually studying, unless you go into edit mode and study from there. I think it's just easier if you download the deck and start reviewing cards, when you remember them all (after several fails of course) you can call the study session done and take it from there. Does that make sense to you?

kind of...
I still don't get what suspending is and how to use it or why is there a time limit or w/e.
Is there a link on how to make a good use of anki for japanese language?

In order to get a first study of the cards, I exported the cards as tab separated text. I wrote a script or two which took the data and made it into appropriate HTML, including the image and the audio embedded with the "audio" tag. I batched them into separate pages, each containing eight words (not sure how I came to that number, but it's a reasonable number to study at a time). To study, I go through a page and then, after that, I unsuspend the corresponding cards in Anki and test them.
