Is my handwriting legible?

Oh, that reminded me---Google has a Picasa album of shelter lists. Lots of handwritten samples there:

Wow, very nice resource. And very sad. I'm seeing plenty of connected さs and きs and りs and other hiragana (edit: and kanji, but we already talked about that in the other thread), which reminds me it seems to be along the lines of what we discussed in another thread about the highly variable stylistic aspects of mixed cursive-esque handwriting.

I actually feel weird about reading those lists, like I'm violating privacy, so I've just been looking at the surface features, haven't tried to make out the content.

I was assuming the reference was somehow related to the e2kuu in your link name. But I don't know how that would relate. I don't know how that's related to AKB48 at all. lol.

You can create your own practice sheets for the characters you find the most difficult to write.

Just use some tables and write the characters in a nice font in gray so you can use them as guides and write over them. Then leave some cells blank so you can write them by yourself.

A Japanese or Chinese person would probably criticize your kanji strokes quite heavily as I've seen how strict they can be about this.
転 - the last stroke is going the wrong way and dissecting the previous stroke
大 - I usually see the last stroke starting off of the first stroke, not from the intersection of stroke 1 and 2. Maybe not a big deal.
密 - the last stroke in 山 should be taller than the other two sides

It is legible, but the simple nature of the sentences is probably attributing to that. Writing by hand isn't necessary for most people though so decide for yourself if it's something worth improving.

The tall part in 山, i.e. the middle part of it, is the first stroke, not the last stroke. At least according to JDIC, and that's how I remember it from RTK as well. But yeah I see what you're saying.

And handwriting isn't all that necessary, but I will probably have to at least make something legible while looking for a Job, and I do plan to be doing so in Japan at some point. So I at least want to make something that others can read. I'll probably get a bit of slack for it as well for being a 外人, but it still has to be legible. lol.
