I like the idea - it's almost an S&M type thing?
I think I'm right in saying this type of cafe could only exist in Japan - but why? Is there something unique in Japanese male / female power dynamics?

lol isn't it more like because of the contrast with normal customer service?
haven't you been to loads of places in Britain where the service is almost like that hahah...?

IceCream Wrote:lol isn't it more like because of the contrast with normal customer service?Yeh of course that's it! If it's anything like the people, I imagine all customer service in Japan is *insanely* polite, to the point where its a bit fake / weird / sickening. So i guess its refreshing to go somewhere where everyone is just rude to your face and its acceptable? It must feel good, to let go of that public social politeness barrier, even for a little bit..

Another video from the same establishment with slightly more fluent customers.
The way she hands over the menus reminds me of my local pub back in the UK.

To japanese probably shocking/interesting. For me it looks the same as when I go to a local cafe. Although the waitress are not that cute, service is similar

They do exist in real life after all! I have been wondering ever since I saw this -
So, are they all working under the assumption that they are seventeen forever?
