japanese videogames with scripts/furigana etc.

Probably an encoding issue -- toggle your browser's encoding to shift-jis, since that seems to be what it is. I'm guessing for some reason it's trying to load it as utf-8 and that is causing problems.

It's working fine here, for what it's worth. Smile

Whoa, I tried doing what you told me, but it won't work. Really weird. But I guess it's fine since it's not an issue with the website, I'll have to keep looking for the solution.

All I see is on two different browser.

uƒ”ƒ@ƒ‹ƒLƒŠ [¥ƒvƒ ƒtƒ@ƒCƒ‹ v‚Æ‚¢‚¤ƒQ [ƒ€‚̑䎌 W‚Å‚· B
ƒVƒiƒŠƒI‚ª D‚«‚·‚¬‚é‚ ‚Ü‚è ì ¬‚µ‚Ü‚µ‚½ B
ƒtƒ ƒbƒs [‚Ì•´Ž¸‚Æ‚©‚É‚æ‚è“r’†”²‚¯‚Ä‚éƒLƒƒƒ‰‚ ‚è‚Ü‚· B
–¢Š® ¬‚Å‚·‚ª‚±‚ê‚©‚ç‚Ç‚ñ‚Ç‚ñ‘ ‚¦‚Ä‚¢‚—\’è‚Å‚· B

When using Japanese (Shift_JIS) it becomes.

However, I don't have to go to all that trouble to view Japanese text. Did you happen to change the setting on your computer somehow? Could you give more information on where you got this text?

Hi
Thanks for replying
I finally got it to work. "ninetimes" was right, my problem was that I was trying to change the encoding from Tools->Options->Content->Tipes and colors when I had to do it from View->Characters codification
How easy....

Will it come with a real book like the DS one? Because then I'll probably be unable to import it Sad

There is another game by Level 5 called ダンボール戦機 for the PSP with furigana all over the place too.

That ni no kuni game looks so awesome I'd buy a ps3 only to play it, that and disgaea 4. Too bad there are no shin megami tensei games for the console.

The FF7 script here is pretty awesome; I used it to complete the game no problems. It is, however, missing kanji/kana for character names, menus, items, spells, enemies, and etc., so here is a wiki page with all of that: http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Final...anslations

If the author if this thread is still around, please add this to the list under FF7 as it's pretty valuable and it's hard to find.

Question might sound stupid, but what do you do with the scripts? If you copy it into the game (so it shows in japanese), how did you do it?

You use the scripts for easier lookups when you play through the game.

I don't know if I will have the patience to finish this, but I've started lining up the Japanese and US English localisation of FF6.
There seems to be much more narration in the original Japanese.

I like to use the script for games I've played in English, and use Rikaisama and morphman to prelearn the game. Then after I have a good idea of most of the words, I play through the game.

Found the script for Dragon Quest VII.

The PS version is included, as well as the 3DS one. http://sutton-kyouwa.com/g/dq7mari.htm

I'll be giving this look! I'm planning on buying the game later this week.

I'm looking for the FF8 and Persona 3 scripts and both links no longer work. Does anyone know how to get them to work, or another script?
