How to roll 'R'?

#1
I suspect that rolled 'R's aren't very common in daily-use Japanese, but they are used, so I was wondering if anyone could provide some guidance.

Thank you. No, I want to sing enka! Since the singers seem fond of melisma, moras in the R group are occasionally rolled. I'm guessing they do this to create a little separation between the drawn out vowels.

Besides, being able to speak Yakuza can't be any less useful then the ability to speak Pirate!

Oh cool!

I love enka, and it's all I sing when I go to karaoke! And you're right about the rolled 'R's...

Any favourite artists? I particularly like 坂本冬実, and met her a couple of times at her concerts. (I think the promoters were surprised to see a Western face in the foyer, and invited me backstage. Sometimes a gaijin face has its advantages!!)
