How to Find the Right Style of Yoga for You

I just happened to find this article at Lifehacker, and thought that with so many people struggling with problems, some of you might be interested.

They even provide a link to a yoga style quiz, so that you can know which is more appropriate for you.

I guess some of you know about yoga. How accurate is the article? What about the quiz? Is there anything else you would like to add?

Interesting article.
Actually, "yoga" means something like "yoke" originally, "union" must be a derived sense.
I didn't know of all these styles. Call me old school, but sadhus in the jungle don't need props or heated rooms (in Gujarat they do yoga in the morning). In my book, yoga is about awareness. In a way, you don't need a healing goal or a spiritual background (shakras) or a guru -- though they help visualization a lot of course, so they could be beneficial. Just hold the asana as long as you can, focus on breathing reeeally slowly, try to feel you're both an inside and an outside, or rather something in-between. Practice makes that effortless. Weird part is has, as you get more supple, your focus increases, and has your focus increases, you get more supple. Slow yoga is my favorite, but time consuming. Guess you'll have to try things out for yourself. Wink
