Making your own Japanese Nickname

#1
Any got any good ones for this? I just want to do some research on different possible names. It doesn't necessarily have to be close to your own name. Just something you can relate to. (I'm just deciding on one for fun, so any suggestions on any jp names is welcome)

Do you mean an actual nickname or just making a Japanese name?

This website is good for choosing names

both. I have already made plenty of jp names for myself. But nicknames, not yet. I'm trying to find some funny ones/cool kanjified ones.

haha. Na, I'm not short. I'm tall. But that's not a bad way of putting it. I guess everyone see's the name through a different perspective

a lot of Japanese peoples nicknames seem to come from their real names, and sometimes based off having the same first or last name as a famous person, you could try that.. Smile

I will just tell 'em my name is ポ. Thus when they say ポさん, they get the pronunciation of 'paasan' just right. ^_^ So much easier than my real name..

OK, my name is Leo and in Katakana i'd write it "レイオウ". I know it's not common to write 外人-Names with Kanji, but i really wanted to find something nice. And as I'm a musician living in Austria, i came up with "伶墺".

Japanese nicknames I have been given so far:
Maikujii
Succhan
Suzuki

The first one has been in use the longest (4 years). I was given it because I am older than most of my friends and because I like shochu oyuwari.
