Fonts for handwriting?

#1
I've looked through the forums and couldn't find what I wanted, most of the external links were dead.

I am looking for a font I can use whilst reviewing that shows me an average way of how the word/sentence would look handwritten in Japanese. Does anyone know of any decent font I can use to do this?

Thanks!

EDIT: and whilst I'm here, I may as well ask... is there a way to show the same field in anki twice using two different fonts? So I could have a printed font next to a handwritten font, for example.

1) The KanjiStrokeOrders font uses handwriting style, and at lower font sizes the stroke numbers aren't displayed. Otherwise perhaps try googling Smile

2) You can use HTML to change the font of a section of text. E.g.
「<span style="font-family:Monospace;">{{{Kanji}}}</span>」 in place of just {{Kanji}}

Take a look at http://www.wazu.jp/gallery/Fonts_Japanese.html

I like and use fonts from Epson (EPSON 教科書体M, EPSON 正楷書体M).

frony0: Have had a google, but thought I'd ask here because you guys would probably be able to recommend me stuff a little better than my aimless searching. Have got that font already, but thank you anyway! Smile
The HTML thing is very helpful, I tried changing it with HTML myself but couldn't get it to work for some reason, haha.

Inny Jan: Great link, thanks! I like the look of the Epson fonts too.

I use ほにゃ字 though most of the fonts here should work.

Thanks!

frony0: Have just tried the HTML, it doesn't change it D: it just displays it in the default font :/ (and also shows the extra curly brackets)

That's odd :I I'm not sure why it would do that, I almost literally copied and pasted that from my deck. Try changing it to {{{Kanji }}}, note the extra space. Otherwise if nobody else here has any ideas, search or ask on the Anki forum at http://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/ankisrs

I sorted it! I had to put the kanji with the different font at the top though, for some reason. It won't have it any other way. Not too big a deal but as long as it works I have no need to mess with it. Thanks for all the help Smile
