Simple Question.
Just wondering how everyone is buying their 日本語能力試験 Study Books. As far as I can tell Amazon doesn't have the option of sending them abroad.

You buy them from other Amazon websites, although there might less choice, or you can use a service like http://whiterabbitexpress.com/ where you tell them what you want and they'll get it and ship it to you from Japan.

Amazon Japan ships most books internationally, though the shipping fee is pretty high. What makes you think they won't ship those books?

thanks for the quick replies. Was looking for the 日本語総まとめN1 series on amazon.co.jp but didn't see any options for specifying an address outside japan. Or am I just being blind.

The whiterabbitexpress option seems interesting but i'd like to avoid the 13.5% / 5$ charge if possible. And bk1 didn't seem to have it.

When you go to the checkout on amazon.co.jp, at the top of page where you input your delivery address, you can choose between domestic or international shipping.

isn't there a brick and mortar kinokuniya there?

Are you living under a rock?

New York has a Kinokuniya (40th St and 6th ave across from Bryant Park)
AND a Book Off (45th between 5th and 6th Ave).

Kinokuniya has ALL of the 日本語総まとめ books (in the basement level
near the stairs close to the entrance). I bought the N2 grammar book
a few weeks ago, but they have all of the levels.

Book Off has tons of used $1-$3 Japanese manga and books(especially novels)
if you're into that.

And if Kinokuniya doesn't have a certain book, they can order it from Japan and call you when it arrives (I've used it so many times).

Kinokuniya is great for textbooks.
Book Off is great for manga,novels, and Japanese music CDs on the cheap.

You're definitely in the right city..... ;-)
