On Mac the window doens't scale so you'll have to use the OS X zoom if it's too small (Ctrl+ mousewheel).

Sooooooo... no challengers?

I've unlocked Berseker, Warlord (fighters), Monk and Paladin (priests).

No luck with the Thief and Wizard so far.

This is a funny yet dangerous game. My first try was with an elf / wizard combination. Every monster was deadly, so i did not gain any grounds, but i was able to die 10 times in 50 to 60 seconds. My next try consisted of a human / warrior, which looked promising, i was able to kill one monster. *やった* After fighting like a daredevil this monster went down and left a puddle of blood. What i didn't pay attention to, was the next monster that stood close by, which cost my heroes life. I was accidentally clicking on it. Having had such a hard fight just seconds before, and no potions, it was a 1-hit kill. Alas i made it past the 60 seconds without dying! Is there an achievement for frequently dying? If so, i must be able to earn it, in no time. *笑う*

My desktop is kind of like a dungeon in the fact that once you enter it, it's dangerous and you have little chance of escaping unscathed.

I really should clean and organize it...

Try the tutorial first.

Pro(wannabe) tips:

* You can just mouse click to move. It's a lot faster to navigate the dungeon. It's less dangerous as you will avoid bumping into monsters you don't want to fight.

* Before you attack, look at the monster stats. Most of the time the game tells you if the next hit is a death estimate. So you can pretty much just watch that. It's a lot easier and faster than computing HP-DMG in your head. I guess it says "estimate" because there are a few items that can randomize things. Also effects like MANA BURN and POISON always display even if the monster will die and it should say "VICTORY". I think that means you win the fight, but you still get the negative effect.

* You can move diagonally!

When I discovered these I found the game was a lot more like minesweeper. Can't play it as fast though. Usually play for 10-15 min if I'm not stuck very early.

@Nagareboshi: you must kill monsters in order of level. Main strategy is to try and kill level+1, as that boosts your experience. You wanna get the most experience to be at least level 9 to fight the level 10 boss. The first level is hard, so you'll have to kill level 1 monsters.

The game is a lot about managing resources and you want to save as much undiscovered tiles and valuables as you can (eg if you're a priest manage the zombies as killing them gives you a HP boost). Use every possible resource at the right time.

Try to attack serpents (POISON) and ghosts (MANA BURN) right before levelling, that way you get cleansed from the effect when they die.

Thanks for the tips ファブリス. I managed to level up at least one character so far beyond level 7. And i earned some titles as well! Altar boy and Holier than Drow! I really start to like this game ... even though it is "YADfLJ" - "Yet Another Distraction from Learning Japanese™" Wink

Hey dude,
That looks cool, thanks! Smile
Now my life won't end when I'll get under 100 at minesweeper.
