Weird IME problem - can't write 鼻血 or ぢ character

#1
Hi peeps, I'm having a weird problem - i can't write 鼻血 (nosebleed) using Windows or MacOS Japanese IME.

Reading is officially はなぢ (but i don't know how to produce the ぢ character), or はなじ (doesn't work).

Very strange issue, can anyone help?

Anyway thanks!

Actually I realised, this question wasn't so stupid.

Why is there a ぢ in the spelling of 鼻血? ぢ is pronounced じ, so any reason it's still used? Is the sound slightly different??

EDIT: Just realised the reason why is explained clearly on wikipedia, using 'nosebleed' as an example:

Thanks for this. Until now I've typed てぃ as 'teli' rather than 'thi'. For some reason I find that much more awkward even though it's only one letter more.
