Japanese input on a mac in a flash app problem

#1
Hey guys,
I just bought a mac and found out that I can't input Japanese text into flash applications that have text fields in Firefox 4. It works (in Firefox) with neither Apple's IME or Google IME, and in Safari it only works with Apple's IME. By flash app, I mean something like this page on the right side in the text box, if you have a Mac and are running Firefox try inputting text in there. It seems to not work for me on every flash application; instead of putting in underlined hiragana like usual it just puts in regular english letters.

Anyone else have this same problem and have found a workaround? Thanks.

I have just tested this using Firefox 3.6 on my Mac and I can input Japanese text in that box, though it doesn't appear in the box straight away - it appears in a text box at the bottom of the screen then only displays in the box after pressing Enter, for some reason.

I haven't tested with Firefox 4 yet though.
