A friend in Japanese studies recommend me some books from this dude, Alan Macfarlane,
and since some of you might have already read some,
could you tell me if they are any good?
I mean, I've seen some extracts, and the guy's approach seems a little too classical.
So I'm hesitating. Thanks for any input.
ps: I've just seen "Winter's Bone", I really liked it, I would also like to know what you guys thought of it. Thanks!
