The future of linguistics seems bright and practical. Nice to see all the converging lines across the field(s), with regards to integrating models and methods.

A bit of an odd project (reminds me of that quantified self/personal informatics trend) and I see that many articles have been written about the ethics of it over the past several years, but I like the evolution of these tools Deb Roy seems to be using such as ‘Blitzscribe’. Hopefully they become widely used and understood in order to avoid the kinds of problems that brain scans and such have had in the past, with regards to pop sci.
