This deck is a very good alternative to core. It's more difficult but it's not that boring.

Quick question, when there's a sentence that you don't understand (even after the japanese description) how would you go about translating it to english? For example:
お手伝いを二つ返事で引き受けた。
I know that the first part means help, the second part (futatsu henji) means immediate reply and the third part (hiki uketa) means assumed, or took over.
Google translate gives me an awful translation, and I don't want to assume what the meaning *might* be and end up memorizing it incorrectly.

If I search for either "tanuki" or "ultima" the 6203 deck shows, I think the 7128 deck is the unprocessed (less good) deck.

Hi, I just downloaded this deck. Aside from the terrible color scheme ( I have my own.. ) I really like it. The definitions are really easy to understand.
Is there anyway I could use my normal anki card template I have instead ?

I was going to shift your post to the Anki questions thread, but seeing as that is a complaint on the Ankiweb page it's best to answer here where it will be found easily via google.
In the card viewer just change the background-color values. It will either be as plain text e.g. background-color: white; or in hex .card1 { background-color: #FFFFFF; } (also white).
Just replace the values in this deck's template with the values from your other deck.

I'd like to say thanks for this deck! I really wanted to jump into J-J and thought I needed to rely on paid for JapaneseLevelUp decks because this would be above my level, but I sorted it using the morphman add on and have found that I can use it quite well. This will be my one premade deck after my textbook deck going forward I think (don't love premade decks, but a J-J one is really worthwhile because they are very hard to make).

Hm, first post says the deck was "donated" (and I remember it was the same text in the description), sounds good but it could be fishy, does anyone know for sure where the original tanuki deck came from?
EDIT:
And small a parte, I've also wanted to re-up core 10k, and from what I understood it isn't iKnow property, so can I re-up that too? Would be nice because I'm currently checking all the definitions, so the deck would be even better than before (granted not everyone might enjoy having 3-6 words instead of 1-2 as a definition).

as far as I'm aware, the iKnow deck was released under a CC license, and you can't revoke a license once material is released, so even if the core 10K comes in as iKnow property, they released it for free distribution and use.
HOWEVER, I haven't looked at the license, and I am NOT a lawyer. This is just my understanding from what was posted on the other thread.

But now browsing some more old threads it seems 10k came from JSensei and not CJK directly. Guess I should ask them.

EDIT:
So JSensei is a property of Cole.Zhu Inc., I don't think they like to work for free. So yeah, no strictly 10k re-up then. But the deck is still floating around in old threads' links.
