Hanging out with Kids from Ritsumeikan

#1
We have some exchange students at our school right now so we were talking with them and just hanging out. I'm surprised by how good their english was. I was jealous that my japanese wasn't at that level i think I did okay. I was sharing music with them and visa versa. The one girl is really into hip hop so I'm gonna try to talk to her more tomorrow when we all go out to a party.

I've been teaching some of the guys what I want to call real english I guess. Stupid things we take for granted like when someone says "Hey How are you doing?" we mostly respond with "How you doing."

It was cute asking the girls what english curse words they knew. "*****!!!" lol.

What would you teach exchange students?

"****" There are so many 4-letter curse words. >.>'

Anyways, with my experience there are two types of learners. Those who wan to know "street language" or slang and those who want to be super polite. Teach them things that interest them most of all. Smile
