I can't see my avatar, but I have no problem seeing everyone else's.
Am I just being an idiot and I haven't actually got one up or is it just me.

When you update your avatar you may continue to see the old one, because it is cached by the browser, for performance reasons. So you may have to hit the reload button, or clear the browser cache.

Since avatars tend to be low priority compared to the forum text content, the forum software doesn't implement a cache refresh mechanism for the avatar pictures.
