Hi. There's a simple grammatical point that has me stumped today.

千と千尋の神隠し ... translations tell me that the の refers back to 千尋 only. How would you rephrase this if, say, there was two persons that were 神隠し? Or is the phrase ambiguous as is?

It's ambiguous. "千 And 千尋’s Disappearance," which you could read both ways in English. "The Disappearance of Both 千 and 千尋" could be 千と千尋の神隠し.
