ワオー already out in the US? That's much faster than I had hoped, given what jflalc had on their site.
Sucky part is that Monday is Washington's Birthday. I don't think there's mail on that day... but I could be wrong. (I've been known to be.) Having to wait for the results is killing me.
Grats Asriel, and to the folks who have passed so far.

You're in for a wait. There's no mail today, it's President's Day. Sucks to be us.

N1 phailed ;O; Whocares! I skipped 2kyuu and I don't regret it. I'll pass it next time
I think you will pass it next time -- this year's test was hard to prepare for since it was so different. I took the JLPT for the first time and every material I touched was already archaic. -sigh

Ugh. 惨敗 on N2. Flunked the reading portion by a few points. Sloppy on my part.
131 days until the next one... debating whether it's worth the trouble to go to Japan to take it again... but I don't feel like waiting until December just to take N2 again.

I need a certificate of some sort to show my ability to potential employers (getting out of journalism, because the pay isn't so hot, and the field is imploding), so while I'd love to say "Screw it, I'm going on to N1," I need to make the detour and pick up the N2 for now. I just wish the dollar vs. the yen wasn't so weak these days, because it's going to be expensive.
The only other option for the summer JLPT is Poland... and I don't speak Polish. And if I have to go somewhere for a few weeks in the summer and drop a few grand, I'd rather go to Japan than Poland. At least I can speak some Japanese.
Looking at my results logically, grammar and listening are okay. I only need to keep reviewing those and polishing them, and I'm pretty sure I'll do fine in those areas on the next one.
It's the reading section that was a mess for me. 15/60. Ouch. I need to do reading drills every day, and seriously work on my vocab. I've been slacking off, it seems. Time to read more Serious Stuff, and farm it for the vocab I don't know.
The weird part was that I read the passages, and I understood them all completely. It was the questions that I didn't get.

I got my N5 results today, maybe because I'm the closest place in the US to Japan?
I expected to either pass or fail by a close margin, and I passed by two points. Not a great showing, but I still feel really happy that I passed, since it was my first test, I had no idea what to expect, and I only took a practice test for the first time two weeks before the actual test.
I got A's in vocab and grammar, but reading was my downfall, as I knew it would be after I took the test. No surprise there, as I rarely read. The surprise was that I did much better than expected with listening. Must be all the ドラマ I've watched.
The test, confirmed by the results, gave me a good idea of where to concentrate my efforts in preparation for this year's N4, so I'm glad I took it, and I'm aiming for a much better pass score next test.

My N1 results arrived on the 17th but i haven't been able to pick them up cos I got them delivered to my mums house cos my mailbox sucks. Going to pick them up tomoz finally, it's been killing me too. I think I might have just missed out, but either way I'm very happy with my progress in Japanese thus far and will not be at all disappointed by a phail on Nfreaking1.

Right, look at all the progress we made trying to pass. Also, now that we know the new format for the test we have MUCH better chance preparing for it. For example, I crammed and crammed and crammed grammar when there was like 3 questions on grammar. I should have done that with reading. Now I know but it didn't hurt my Japanese to learn those grammar points.

Knowing England, the results from SOAS will be one month behind the rest of the world. |:
Hmm, last year's from SOAS arrived around the 5th of March it seems.

Got my results today. I passed N5 with a 117 lol. I feel like I should have done better, especially in the grammar/vocab section, but it was my first time taking the test so whatever.
I'm debating whether or not to skip N4 since N5 was easier than I thought, but I think that if I wanted to skip one it should've been N5. And I'm not really in any hurry to get N1. Also I think I'm kind of getting a "gotta catch 'em all" attitude about this.
