Placement of the Dot in 夕 vs 歹

#1
I'm learning stroke orders for radicals, and I came across something I find odd. The dots in the font version of 夕 and 歹 look the same, but the gifs from Wikitionary show them placed differently. Is this an important distinction?

I used to worry about these things, but now I generally just accept that some typefonts will have different looks and some stroke order sites have different rules.

That is sort of what I figured, thanks.
