Japanese Dance Music

#1
Hey guys, I was wondering if you knew any good Japanese dance/house music with Japanese lyrics. I live in Japan but visited Russia and Turkey last month and noticed how popular dance/house was there. I found myself listening to a lot of the music I got there when I came back, but I have yet to discover anything like that here. I know there are plenty of dance/house DJs here but they seem to produce mostly stuff with English lyrics. Japanese pop music is just a little too genki and upbeat for me.

Also if you have any recommendations for Japanese hip hop...どうぞ!

TOO GENKI?! impossible that's just normal for Japanese girls. Theres japanese trance if you can't handle upbeat stuff but I like Pop particularly the Korean pop crosses over into Japanese. and then i like hip hop so hip hop balances out the genki.

That's a really good question... like you said, the majority of dance/house music from Japan has English lyrics.
A couple of artists that came to mind are RAM RIDER and Jazztronik (mostly English lyrics, actually, but their song Tiger Eyes is an awesome track in Japanese).

I would also recommend looking into the discographies of DJs/artists even if they mostly have songs with English lyrics - if you do some searching, you will find some tracks in Japanese. As an example, most of DJ Kawasaki's songs contain English lyrics, but there
are a few floating around that are in Japanese:

Love (feat Aoyama Thelma)
Paradise (feat. COMA-CHI)

Their music is not going to help you learn the language, but Takkyu Ishino and Ken Ishii are a couple very good techno producers/DJs. I was lucky enough to see Ishino DJ at the Liquid Room on new year's eve, and it was a thrill to finally see him live after being a fan for >10 years.
