Alternatives to franki?

I was endlessly angered and irritated by it. It works, except when you need it to. It works when you input one command, but when you try something else? "matched 0 out of 475 facts, replaced 0 fields in 0 facts". And then what happens if I try the earlier command that worked? It works on a grand total of *5* cards, instead of ~300 it did earlier. A horrible program.

I would be much obliged if someone posted working alternatives.

Do be aware that with Anki 1.2 onwards - you can overwrite fields - this is easy to use. See the import menu and look at the option to overwrite or update, I forget which. As long as you are matching on a key field that has unique data this works very well.

This is a pretty terrible way to go about getting help, insulting programmers'/community members' hard work and generous contributions based apparently on user-end problems. I'm not sure ‘I can't figure it out, this sucks!’ is meaningful or useful.

Yes, you're right. I'm sorry. I had been trying to get it working for nearly 4 hours, and I was very angry at the end.

Yeah, I found out about this a while ago. But thank you for pointing it out.
