Anyone knows any good anime and or doramas that plays some musics regularly and have some story behind, could be a bit even like Glee...

The only one I know atm is Angel Beats, that have several songs in the 13 episodes.

It doesnt need to be a musical, what I want is some that would have either the lyrics passing by along the song (either in english or even in japanese).

One that would sing some classic japanese music would be really great, but I like most kind of musics and would enjoy almost any style.

There's an AKB48 musical called "Infinity." There's no lyrics on screen, but all the songs are derived from their albums so you can find those.

Btw, does these sing "famous" songs? or the songs are made especially for the anime? I would enjoy more the former.

I actually have the K-ON game for PSP, but it seems so girly and the girls just think about tea and cakes... but I didnt play it for too much time, so Im not sure if its like this in the anime, but will check it hehe

EDIT: Btw, I know one drama called "Tokyo Friends" that has a couple of musics. Its not so good, but its not bad either...

Before I heard "Cagayake! GIRLS" I didn't even know that there could be such a thing as an amazing bass line. Now I really want to buy a bass and learn to play it. Also, I think Mio's little speech about why she chose the bass was one of the most adorable moments in the show.

Macross Frontier has a lot of music in it. As I understand, any of the Macross series have a lot of music and singing.

If you like classical music, you should watch Nodame Cantabile (anime and drama).

Baccano also has an amazing soundtrack, even though it's not an anime about music. Sample: [1] [2].

ソラノヲト is supposedly music related. IIRC. Haven't watched it, though.

As for awesome soundtracks... 空の境界 was released on BD today. I eagerly await its appearance on the interwebs.

It has some nice music in it, mostly instrumental, as well as a fantastic op theme, but it is not about music all that much. It is, however, a very good anime, imo anyway.

The "Loups=Garous" movie features SCANDAL, my favorite girls Jpop/Rock group in it. Which is kinda involved in the plot of the movie.

Oh, and also the "Long Vacation" drama has a main character that dreams of being a world class pianist.
