I've been reading and using this site for awhile now and have gotten a lot of great ideas from you guys so I felt maybe someone can benefit from how I've recently found it easier to add sentences not only faster but ones you care about without losing the motivation to do so.

Dramas are good for casual and real Japanese so I've been using them as of late but what I use is
1. Drama of choice. (difficulty in my opinion doesn't matter as long as its interesting)
2. Drama note (website of subtitles)
3. SRS
4. Rikaichan (firefox addon)

Whenever I watch something like a drama I keep a simplified window usually and what I do is pull my anki up on the other side to add sentences. What I've been doing that many will disagree with is I look at the subtitles if I don't know whats going on. The reason I do so is to see if what they're saying is something I think is worth SRSing.

Now the second a scene ends or I'm suddenly struck with enthusiasm to add I pause the drama, open up my tab of dramanote and take what I had just watched, whether it be a useful usage of words you already know or a completely new one. I use Rikaichan to translate the sentence and with the anki on the right side I add the definition while the word is still highlighted by rikaichan

Lastly I always keep music playing in the background just loud enough that I can hear the drama or show without distraction but loud enough that when I pause to add I still have Japanese going.

Anyway I think keeping the SRS open and ready makes it easier to want to add things, especially when you're so caught up with a scene and want those words forever.

Since you're adding sentences through Firefox, you might find this useful:

You could also mark down the timings while watching using cb4960's 'background typing' tool (see thread of the same title), then do the rest later. Or if you have subtitles (even w/o Japanese, if you have the timings from the English... ) and you have a lot of stuff you'll want to keep from an ep, just subs2srs it (perhaps narrowing down the span based on where the bulk of the stuff was in the show) and browse through the deck, unsuspending cards and/or deleting the ones you don't want. I usually just keep a max of 25 lines per subs2srs'd show. Then there's balloonguy's tool for watching videos in your browser with interactive subtitles (sans distracting timestamps).

Another thing that might ease overall sentence creation (just tossing this in as a tangent) is to grab Translation Aggregator (see Hongfire thread) and make sure its WWWJDIC frame is open. When you copy text to your clipboard, TA autoscans it and will show the sentence, broken down into a list of its parts, along with parts of speech, readings, and definitions, which you can copy/paste to Anki cards...
