ok i have to restore my laptop to is original settings and i dont know if it is going to work after that and i anki is on my computer. what should i do how will i keep learning my Japanese?

did you sync anki online? (if you have an online account+plus do daily syncing it. You should be able to retrieve it+the lastest time you've reviewed)

This is why I back up on alternate days between an sd card and a separate drive 
I haven't started syncing online, don't think I'll have the need for that thanks to multiple backups ( reversing days just in case my file corrupts before I back it up and lose the old copies )

To the OP, before worrying about "learning your Japanese", why not work on learning your English punctuation; you know, those important things like commas, semi-colons and full stops..

Usually the simple solution is to remove the hard drive and stick it in another computer. Back up what you need, to something else and then do your restore. Of course it's not always that simple but that's the general thought process. (Like if the hdd is completely corrupt, you might need to use some special recovery software to have any luck.)

Just sync your Anki with Ankionline, and back up any other files you want to keep on an external hard drive, USB key, or to Dropbox
